Looks like reviews have all but trashed the new GeForce FX. It performs only marginally better than ATi’s 9700 Pro, which was released six months ago. This despite the GeForce FX being a .13 micron press product and including a massive air cooling system. Some manufacturers have even dumped nVidia’s product line just because of the FX.
I can’t see why anyone would buy one at $400, for only a marginal performance increase over the cheaper 9700 Pro.
What I am really waiting for is a new mobile graphics processor so I can upgrade the 440 Go I have now.
